Dr Michael Back

Michael was born and raised in Canberra. He completed a Bachelor of Engineering at Wollongong University and worked as an engineer for several years before obtaining a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Adelaide University. He is a diligent worker winning the University award for academic excellence and leadership. Michael has built up a loyal client base of patients working in Canberra since 2012.

Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children. On the weekends you will find him out mountain biking, skiing or coaching his kids soccer teams.

Dr Ram Pandey

Originally from Canberra, Ram completed his schooling locally before studying dentistry at the University of Queensland.  Following graduation, he has built more than a decade of experience in private practice, spending eight years in Tasmania before returning home to Canberra to be closer to family.

Ram enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is particularly passionate about helping patients make informed decisions about their oral health through education and open communication.  He believes that building trust and taking the time to understand each patient’s individual needs are key to achieving long-term dental health.  When he is not in the dental practice, Ram can be found spending time with his young family, working in the garden or getting stuck into a good book.

Kimseum (Kim) Jang

Hygienist 

Kim graduated with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene from the University of Otago, New Zealand. In addition to hygiene, Kim has extensive experience in orthodontics and is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy smiles through education, prevention, and personalised care.

While living and practising in Australia, Kim was invited to South Korea as an international guest lecturer to present educational programs for fellow dental hygienists.  She enjoys helping patients understand not only what treatment they need, but why healthy gums are essential for lifelong oral health.

Outside of the clinic, Kim enjoys discovering new restaurants, spending quality time with her family and friends, and relaxing with her Maltese dog.  She also has a passion for skin health and is currently studying Nursing to broaden her healthcare knowledge and further enhance the care she provides to her patients.

Malti Devi

Hygienist 

Malti was born and raised in Fiji before moving to New Zealand for over 15 years.  She completed her Bachelor of Oral Health Science from Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand, qualifying as both an Oral Health Therapist and Dental Hygienist.

Malti moved to Canberra in 2024 and joined Authentic Dentistry as a part-time dental hygienist.  Malti is dedicated to providing gentle and compassionate care, ensuring patients always feel comfortable and at ease.  She emphasises preventive care and believes in educating patients about their oral health. 

Malti is a member of the Oral Health Association of Australia (OHAA). Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, camping, and cooking.
